DKD-Stock

Well it only took two and a half years, but finally our stuff has all been moved out of the storage unit and into the house and much of it is unpacked. As a result I now have tons of things to photograph and upload as stock. I have also found the missing cd's with my older photography images on them, so I can now start sorting through them and uploading many of them to the gallery as well. So look for some new additions to the gallery in the coming weeks, and hopefully there will be something there that people will want to make use of.  

Sadly, despite my best efforts, my time on DA has become very limited these days. Part of it has to do with the fact that there are other things demanding my time offline. The rest of it is simply a matter of the fact that with the dramatic increase in the electric bills here due to the added cost of heating the house over the winter, daily computer usage has been limited to no more then two hours per day. Sadly, by the time I get done checking and responding to emails and various other things that I need to do each day, there is no time to sit down and work on any manips or to sort, edit and upload photography and stock images. Right now there is so much collecting in my inboxes here that it would take me a couple days worth of the alloted comp time just to clean out my messages and deviations. So until things change here, you may not be seeing much of me. Hopefully once spring hits and the bills become more managable that will change. Until then, please do not feel that I am ignoring your messages, or don't appreciate the faves and comments. I truly do appreciate all the support, and I will do my best to try to respond to people as I get the chance.

Just want to wish everyone a safe and happy New Year.  Here's hoping 2010 brings you a year that will be full of good times and happy memories.

I finally found my old cds with a lot of the photos I took over the last few years. Somehow they had ended up stored in a box and misplaced. I have started posting some of the beach stock already, and will be adding a bunch of other images over the next week.

I apologize for the fact that there have not been more updates here, but with only one computer for two people to share and with limited time to hit the internet, I just haven't been able to get much done with this account. Trying to correct that now though.

Some of the pics could use a bit of editing to make them a bit cleaner and crisper, reduce a bit of noise etc., but since I have so little time to work on this I am just trying to get as many added to the galleries as I can. Most of the edits that could be used are minor and will be corrected when anyone works with the pics anyway, so for now I am just going to add everything I can and hope that someone will be able to make use of this stuff. Once I have more time I want to go back and edit some of the pics and possibly combine them into packages for easier downloading, as well as work on some premade backgrounds I have been wanting to do for months now. But that will probably not be for awhile yet. Again it's a matter of lack of time on the pc.

Really wish my laptop would allow me to run a photo editing program and had a cd drive, because then I would actually be able to do a lot more to improve and add to the gallery. Ah well...better something then nothing at all I guess.

At the moment I am working on getting some new images into the stock gallery, but with the shared computer time it is slow going. Most of the new photos will be ones I have taken around town during my walks....buildings, fall leaves, some cemetery stock etc. Also finding a few older images that somehow never made it into the gallery that should have, and will be getting those uploaded as well just as soon as possible.

I am planning to go out again in a few days and take more pics. Right now I am mostly going to be concentrating on a lot of the historical homes in the area and autumn scenic shots. Possibly a few more days of shooting in some of the cemeteries if I get the chance. Right now it's all a matter of getting the weather to cooperate and having the free time to get out of the house for a few hours to do nothing but take pictures.

Hopefully some of these new pics will be of use to someone.
